Where Whiskey Meets Reforestation
We’ve always believed whiskey should do more than taste good. It should stand for something. This Earth Month, we’re proud to celebrate a major milestone: over 1.7 million trees planted through our partnership with Trees for the Future. And this April, we’re going even further. For every Redwood Empire cocktail sold, we’ll plant a tree. It’s a simple way to turn a good drink into something greater by restoring land, supporting farming communities, and growing a greener future, one glass at a time.
Shake, Pour & Plant: Our Earth Month Mission
This April, we’ve set our sights on a bold goal: planting 100,000 trees in one month. And we’re calling on our bar and restaurant partners to help make it happen.
Through our Shake, Pour & Plant initiative, every Redwood Empire cocktail sold helps plant a tree—at no cost to the bar and no extra effort for the guest. You pour, we plant. It’s that simple.
To keep things easy behind the scenes, we’ve done the math:
Every case of Redwood Empire purchased translates into trees planted. For example, a standard 6-pack equates to 100 trees, so every bottle served is roughly 16.66 trees planted.
Global Reach: Where the Trees Are Planted
The trees we fund through our partnership with Trees for the Future are planted in regions that need them most. From the rolling savannas of Senegal to the farmlands of Uganda and the highlands of Kenya, every Redwood Empire sip supports reforesting efforts that are transforming landscapes and lives.
Many restoration projects take the form of Forest Gardens a carefully designed and regenerative ecosystem that restores soil health, supports biodiversity, and helps local farmers to grow food, income, and long-term resilience.
Earth Day Cocktail Ideas
Ordering any cocktail made with Redwood Empire whiskey at a participating bar helps plant a tree. No special drink or secret phrase required. If it has Redwood Empire in the glass, it counts. To get you started, here are a few of our favorite Earth Day-worthy pours:
The Raven in the Woods

Head over to The Beeman Hotel in Dallas, Texas and order their signature Earth Month creation, The Raven in the Woods. This elegant cocktail pairs Redwood Empire Whiskey with bright citrus and fresh herbal notes, garnished with a sprig of rosemary and a dried orange wheel. It’s a drink that feels rooted in nature—flavorful, fragrant, and seasonally inspired. Every glass plants a tree, making it a perfect way to toast the planet with purpose.

This twist on the classic Old Fashioned lets Redwood Empire whiskey take the spotlight. Whether you’re sipping a Pipe Dream-based version with notes of vanilla and toasted oak, or the bold and spicy “Perfect Old Fashioned” made with Rocket Top rye at Cuts Steakhouse in Turlock, CA this cocktail proves that a simple pour can still surprise you. Stirred with hand-carved ice and finished with a lemon twist, it’s all about balance and bold character.
Recommended whiskey: Pipe Dream Bourbon or Rocket Top Rye

The Sequoia Sour balances the bold sweetness of Pipe Dream with bright citrus and a velvety texture, making it both refreshing and rich. It’s a festive choice for Earth Day thanks to its vibrant flavor and nod to one of the most iconic trees in the Redwood Empire. It’s smooth, playful, and easy to love.
Recommended whiskey: Pipe Dream Bourbon

Cold Harbor Brewing in Massachusetts is flying high this Earth Month serving up the Redwood Empire Paper Plane. Bright, bittersweet, and perfectly balanced, this cocktail pairs the layered spice of rye with citrus and amaro for a smooth, lifted finish. It’s a bold choice that proves even a cocktail with altitude can stay grounded in purpose.
Recommended whiskey: Emerald Giant Rye
Ryse & Shine-Rye + Bees Knees

Waters Restaurant in Fort Worth, Texas is doubling the impact with two Earth Month cocktails made with Redwood Empire Rye. The Ryse & Shine-Rye is a sparkling Prosecco sipper with a cooling minty twist: fresh, bright, and easy-drinking. The Bees Knees leans classic with a honey-lemon profile that’s equal parts smooth and refreshing. Whether you’re in the mood for bubbles or citrus, either cocktail plants a tree and pairs perfectly with patio weather.
Raise a Glass, Plant a Forest
Whether you’re ordering a Redwood Empire cocktail at your local bar or pouring one at home, every drink this April helps restore ecosystems and support farming communities. It’s our way of making whiskey a force for good—one glass, one tree, one future.
