Sequoia Sour
1.5 oz Redwood empire Pipe dream bourbon
3/4 oz fresh lemon juice
1/2 oz cinnamon syrup
1 oz dry red wine
Add Bourbon, lemon juice, and cinnamon syrup to a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake hard for 15 seconds. Strain over fresh ice into an old fashioned glass. Pour the red wine over the back of a spoon to float it on top of the cocktail. Garnish with a lemon wheel.
Cinnamon syrup: Break up six cinnamon sticks (approx 3" long) and add to a saucepan with 1 cup water and 1 cup sugar. Bring to a boil then simmer for 15 minutes. Let syrup cool with the cinnamon sticks in it. Once cooled, strain cinnamon sticks out and keep in fridge.
