2 oz Redwood Empire Emerald Giant Rye
Muddle the sage leaves into a chilled old-fashioned glass. Fill glass with ice and pour rye, simple syrup and black walnut bitters over the ice. Stir in the glass for 15 seconds adding more ice if necessary. Garnish with sage leaf.
