Sequoia Sour
The Sequoia Sour is a layered whiskey sour that balances bright citrus, warming spice, and rich depth. Crafted with Redwood Empire Pipe Dream Bourbon,fresh lemon juice, cinnamon syrup, and finished with a dry red wine float.
Sequoia Sour Ingredients
- Ice (for shaking and serving)
- 1.5 oz Redwood Empire Pipe Dream Bourbon
- 3/4 oz fresh lemon juice
- 1/2 oz cinnamon syrup
- 1 oz dry red wine
- Lemon wheel, for garnish

Mixing Instructions
- Fill a cocktail shaker with ice.
- Add the bourbon, lemon juice, and cinnamon syrup to the shaker.
- Shake hard for 15 seconds, until well chilled.
- Strain over fresh ice into a wide-rimmed Old Fashioned or lowball glass.
- Slowly pour the dry red wine over the back of a spoon to float it on top.
- Garnish with a lemon wheel.
- Serve immediately.
Cinnamon Syrup Ingredients
- 6 cinnamon sticks (approximately 3" long)
- 1 cup water
- 1 cup sugar
Cinnamon Syrup Instructions
- Break the cinnamon sticks into pieces.
- Bring to a boil, then simmer for 15 minutes.
- Remove from heat and let cool.
- Strain out cinnamon sticks.
- Refrigerate until ready to use.
