Brown Derby
Brown Derby is a bright, citrus-forward riff that brings warm spice and floral aromatics to a classic format. Made with Redwood Empire Pipe Dream Bourbon, pink grapefruit juice, and honey syrup, this version is finished with cardamom bitters for a rounded, aromatic finish.
Brown Derby Ingredients
- Ice (for shaking and serving)
- 1.5 oz Redwood Empire Pipe Dream Bourbon
- 1 oz pink grapefruit juice
- 3/4 oz honey syrup (1:1 cut)
- 2 drops cardamom bitters
- Grapefruit slice, for garnish
Mixing Instructions
- Fill a cocktail shaker with ice.
- Add the bourbon, pink grapefruit juice, honey syrup, and cardamom bitters to the shaker.
- Shake hard for 15 seconds, until well chilled.
- Strain into a rocks glass over a large ice cube.
- Garnish with a grapefruit slice.
- Serve immediately.
